How To: Convert .doc file to .pdf file

In day to day life every man has some documents which he wants to share public with some security like printing is allowed or not, data extraction is allowed or not , etc. for this type of securities issue pdf is best.

To convert .doc file (MS Word file) to .pdf file there are two simple methods:

1. SaveAsPdfandXPS : It is a Microsoft 'Add-in' in MS Word to save as word document file directly to pdf or xps. It is a exe file so you can easily install it by double clicking the file. You can access it by :

Open MS Word -> File Menu -> Save As -> Save as pdf or Xps Format

So its simply convert word file to pdf file but the converted pdf file has a large file size as compare to that word file size means if you have a 87 KB file size of a word file so the converted pdf file size will be 300 KB(approx.) which is not desirable. So for my view the second method is best.

2. Primo Pdf : It is best tool to convert .doc file to .pdf file. This software add a virtual printer in your system so you can easily print( or convert) any file to pdf file. For .doc file :

Open MS Word -> File Menu -> Print -> Select Primo Pdf Virtual Printer

  2. Thank you for sharing this. I know Microsoft Office has its own plug-in for saving Word and Excel as PDF files. But if anyone need to convert Word to PDF on other applications, a third-party converter is necessary. I use RasterEdge, which support Word, Excel and Tiff to PDF and convert Word to PDF, I think it's also a good tool for you.
